Work Readiness



As professional work, such as finance, HR, IT and procurement, continues to be moved offshore, the meeting will bring academics and practitioners together to debate the challenges for students now graduating with significant debt but face increasing difficulty in finding good, entry-level, training opportunities as graduate training programmes reduce.


The key focus will be on what constitutes ‘work readiness’ as a concept distinct, albeit complementary to, longer term attributes of employability, and how students might better identify and capture positive learning experiences from otherwise mundane jobs alongside full-time education.
